There is an international airport and express trains to major cities such as Madrid (only 2.5 hours from here!). Also within the city, you can use the public transport via buses, trains and taxis. 

If you live in Málaga, you will not get bored easily. Large cities such as Torremolinos and Fuengirola are within easy reach, but you can also have a good time in the city itself. There are more than 25 museums (e.g. the Picasso Museum) and you can feast your eyes in the historic centre or the bullring, which is now a cultural centre. With many influences from the Roman and Moorish times, there is plenty of art and culture to be found in this city. Shopping, also for daily necessities, is easily done in the shopping centres, large supermarkets, and the shopping street Calle Marqués de Larios. There is also a large market hall in Málaga called Mercado de Atarazanas. In addition, Málaga is known for its beautiful nature and sports facilities. There are clean beaches, parks with playgrounds, botanical gardens, and various walking and cycling routes along the beach or in different nature reserves. Enjoy an afternoon in the Montes de Málaga or the Sierras de Tejeda, Almijarra and Alhama. 

The price level of Málaga in terms of living and accommodation is quite low. This is the case in almost all of Spain, but considering Málaga is a big city, this is even more remarkable.
